HENRY KAMPHOEFNER RESEARCH PROJECT
Henry Kamphoefner Research Project: Services
This project was for one of my core Design Studies major courses and was a part of a final exhibition that presented information on some of the biggest contributors to the success of NC State’s College of Design. My classmate, Kylie Ogburn, and I chose to research the college’s first dean, Henry Kamphoefner. In addition to in-depth online database research, we visited NC State’s Special Collections library to examine some of his archived work, published lectures, personal items and photographs to better grasp a connection to an incredible man and important founder of the school we attend.
The final posters were developed in print and digital formats, the digital being placed on display in a 360-degree projection room at NC State’s Hunt Library in the exhibition titled “Past Leaders of the Future: NC State’s Contribution to Design and Technological Innovation”.
